Statement by Giorgio Pagano
“Europe exists less and less, linguistically homologated and reduced to a continental Commonwealth by Governers such as Berlusconi, the same people who are now preaching against the anachronistic division,” said Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the “Esperanto” Radical Association.
Pagano continued: “Us Radicals, unlike the PDL and the Lega, have supported the necessity to build the United States of Europe starting from linguistic federalism, Esperanto being the obvious choice as the federal language. The goverment prefers to annualy donate 54 billion euros to the United Kingdom in order to learn English, while, in turn, Great Britain saves 18 billion, now that, since 2004, it’s no longer required to learn a secon langauge in English schools.”
“Along with those 18 billion euros, Britain will save even more now that the BBC no longer broadcasts foreign programs. Only a Radical change in direction can transform this anglo-American colony in to an independent, democratic and ecnomic power. This can only be down by the launch of the International Language as a means to ensure that the social, cultural, political and economic bonds are equal.”
