Microsoft-Google, Pagano (Radicals-Era): "Like David and Golia"
Tim Sneath, Microsoft Client Platform’s adviser, compared Google’s choice to abandon H.264 as the equivalent of choosing Esperanto or Klingon. Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the
Esperanto Radical Association, has answered to Sneath’s statements qith the following:
" Your comparison is perfect. Microsoft would like to apply the same colonial policies in the software departmen, as the Anglophone countries do with other languages of the world,
the same thing Europeans did to the indios when they discovered South America. As Google doesn’t want to bow down to Microsoft’s supremacy, and Esperantists don’t wish to
bow down to English, either. You make fun of Mountain View, forgetting an important detail: David and Golia – in other words, the voice of reason."
