ERA TAKES PART IN "MARCHE DES FIERTES" (PARIS GAY PRIDE FESTIVAL) AGAINST LINGUISTIC DISCRIMINATION.

A small delegation of the "Esperanto" Radical Association, lead by Lapo orlando, participated in the Parisian Gay Pride Festival on Saturday the 26th of June. This year’s slogan was "Discriminations et violences assez" (Stop violence and discrimination).
The crowded parade set off from Montparnasse, across the main Boulevards of Rive Gauche, until it finally read the historical and symbollic Place de Bastille, during which the non-profit organization ERA distributed thousands of flyers encouraging to end linguistic discrimination and reminding that the ERA itself and the constitution should defend the right to one’s national language and not to be discriminated linguistically, as was expressed in Paris’s "March 9 committee."
ERA participated earnestly in today’s Parisian festival – states Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the "Esperanto" Radical Association – we took the opportunity to show our Treasurer, as he was in town, that we, the ERA, together with the European Union’s Fundamental Rights Authories of Vienna, had organized an initiative to protest against every type of discrimination, including racial, gender, sexual orientation as well as linguistic and cultural discrimination and we defend the right of every law in each one of these fields, and against everything connected to its discrimination; ignorance, sanctions and fascisms, whether it be political or linguistic."
