ERA at the Internet Governance Forum of the United Nations
Today, October 10th, "Democrazialinguistica.it"’s agenda, on the radio at 1930 hours, there will be an interview/debate by Lapo Orlandi about the Esperanto Radical Association’s participation at the 5th reunion of the IGF, Vilnius, Lituania, from the 14-17th September 2010. The Forum spoke about the Internet’s governance in the United Nations. The general theme of the 2010 IGF was to "build the future together."
Aim: articualte a vision of using internet for the benefit of humanity, the use of internet as a means to reach and develop something for everyone, as had been expressed in the goals that were developed and agreed on an internation level, inculding the Millennium Development Goals.
ERA brought to attention the cultural biodiversity problem, especially italian, due to the enforcement of the English language as the only foreign language.
