A meeting between the MIUR Undersecretary, Hon. Giuseppe Pizza, the Radical Senator Marco Perduca and the Secretary if the Radical "Esperanto" Association, Giorgio Pagano, that was dedicated to relaunching a defense for the italian language took place today. The Radicals have suggested 4 ideas that could work at no expense:

To re-launch the Italian language: create an institute or a Commission for the Italian language and, at the same time, and launch the project "Lingua e Potere" (Language and Power) during the "Italianidi," in collaboration with the Dante Alighieri Institute.

On the language problem: answer to the anglo-French-German oliglopoly vs. the English-speaking monopoly problem via linguistc democracy: pick up the ministerial Newsletter n.126 of the International language (called Esperanto) that was interrupted, doing so means experimenting with the Esperanto language in Europe across a joint Project, and design a Miur-ERA etiquette based on Ministerial Studies carried on the Esperanto language and circulated in the newsletter.

Pizza, the Undersecretary, said that his attention was focused on other aspects of the Italian language and culture, claiming to be open to the idea of an Italian Commission and he assured that the Ministry involvement for important initiatives to contemplate the relationships that exist between language and power, as well as promoting the use of the Italian language.

For what concerns linguistic democracy in the international enviroment, the Undersecretary plans to promote a meeting with the General manager of International Affairs, Limina, after the Easter holidays.
